Our next unit is video editing. I am really excited for video editing because it opens up more opportunities. I don't know what my assignments are going to be but perhaps I will work on a video for the audio sound tracks I made last week. When you combine audio and video it appeals to 2 senses as apposed to 1. This makes the person more engaged or more likely to notice/pay attention to what ever it is you are trying to show. Whatever the assignments are it will help me down the road.

So last week I volunteered at E.K. Powe's game night. I would like to review a game I played there: Twister. Twister is the game where you have to spin the spinner and then put what ever body part it says onto that color dot. It is pretty fun it tests your flexibility(I'm grateful that I'm a runner so I'm flexible). It was very fun until I had to do a split while my hands where on to other dots. Lets just say I'm not as flexible as where the 2 girls who said they did gymnastics. But overall it is a good game and I like it. A tip of advice though don't ply it against gymnasts.
Over the last week I have finished up working in Audition. I have found that it is really easy to use. I like how the layout of the program is. It makes access to everything you may need for a project very easy to find. I am really excited to continue using it for audio production because it is a good tool to know how to use. Next we are starting to move to video so I'm looking forward to a new challenge. I have heard a rumor that it is very easy to use like Adobe Audition so I'm hoping it is.
Yesterday I volunteered at E.K. Powe's Game Night. They had a big set up, the whole first floor had rooms filled with board-games. In the gym, they had jump-rope. In each room depending on the grade level, they had age appropriate games. Originally, I was stationed in the cafeteria, where I proceeded to have my butt kicked in Yahtzee. After about 1 hour in there, I noticed all the kids were content and there was enough "staff". I left my position and became a floater. I went into all of the rooms to help out and see what else was there. The children were really nice and polite. After it ended, I stayed to help clean up. Community service and volunteering is really important because it provides positive outcomes for people and creates new memories.
The last week I went and worked with Adobe Audition for audio editing. I found that so far it is surprisingly easy to use. I edited and put together a car commercial. I am actually interested in learning more about Audition as I like sound. I learned the basics of Audition for example how to cut clips of sound, and rearrange them and add sound effects. I learned how to put sound over-top of other sounds. For instance I put background music to the person's voice so the commercial is not boring.
