Yesterday I volunteered at E.K. Powe's Game Night. They had a big set up, the whole first floor had rooms filled with board-games. In the gym, they had jump-rope. In each room depending on the grade level, they had age appropriate games. Originally, I was stationed in the cafeteria, where I proceeded to have my butt kicked in Yahtzee. After about 1 hour in there, I noticed all the kids were content and there was enough "staff". I left my position and became a floater. I went into all of the rooms to help out and see what else was there. The children were really nice and polite. After it ended, I stayed to help clean up. Community service and volunteering is really important because it provides positive outcomes for people and creates new memories.
